Unfair Fashion aims at promoting a cultural change in the fashion industry lead by the members of Unfair Fashion. Unfair Fashion works towards increased transparency and a much greater focus on sustainability in the industry. Transparency and sustainability are core values and should be the norm rather than niche.
Unfair Fashion believes transparency to be the new green - a tool that we can use to work for an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable industry.

Unfair Fashion is a non-political organization, thus Unfair Fashion will not be engaged with, nor vouch for any political parties.
Unfair Fashion will act according to the values and visions of Unfair Fashion, as described in the manifest. Unfair Fashion wants to promote sustainability in the fashion industry and support upcoming Nordic designers with a sustainable vision.
Unfair Fashion will not promote discrimination based on racism, religion, sexual orientation, gender or any other kinds.
Unfair Fashion cannot be held responsible for the actions of the brands represented by Unfair Fashion.
The role of Unfair Fashion is to support designers’ development and provide them with knowledge. Unfair Fashion does not demand that brands represented by Unfair Fashion are sustainable. Unfair Fashion does not characterize some practices and materials as more or less sustainable than others, nor does Unfair Fashion believe sustainability is something measurable. Rather, Unfair Fashion aims at supporting a development for the brands and only expects that brands want to work towards becoming more sustainable. Furthermore, Unfair Fashion encourages brands to follow Unfair Fashion’s Best Practice Guide developed.
A set of hashtags on sustainability has been developed by Unfair Fashion, for brands to use on their profile when describing their brand’s work, actions and focus. The hashtags are meant as an informative set of guides and keywords in order to make it easier to describe sustainability.
Unfair Fashion cannot be held responsible for how brands choose to use these hashtags on the Unfair Fashion platform.
Unfair Fashion has all legal rights for the hashtags, intellectual rights as well.
SUPPLIERS AND PRODUCTION:
Brands in the Unfair Connector network openly share their contacts and suppliers within the network. As these suppliers are not selected by Unfair Fashion and since Unfair Fashion does not carry out check-ups and audits, Unfair Fashion will not be responsible for the list of suppliers the designers are working with and share among each other.
Unfair Fashion will provide guidance for brands through network, workshops, expert panel and encourages brands to follow the developed Best Practice Guide, in order for brands to better improve conditions.
Unfair Fashion wants to develop a partnership with sustainable sourcing companies, and social enterprises within production. This will provide brands with the opportunity to get support with sourcing through the partnership. However, Unfair Fashion only supply the contact.
Unfair Fashion does not conduct audits on suppliers, thus Unfair Fashion cannot be held responsible for suppliers nor for what happens between the designer and the suppliers. The role of Unfair Fashion is to support sustainable development and provide knowledge on sustainability.
The aim of Unfair Connector is to facilitate a network for designers to be part of, based on knowledge and resource sharing, knowledge building.
UNFAIR CONNECTOR ADVISORY BOARD:
The Advisory Board consists of people with knowledge and expertise within the fields of fashion, social responsibility, environmental sustainability, business development, start up, sustainable sourcing, law, and more. This is both people with practical experience and people with theoretical backgrounds.
It is essential for a successful experience that experts do not feel exploited. Thus, members of Connector are to contact experts through the contact box on the website and are expected to be prepared for each session with an expert.
The experts in the panel represent their own opinions and are in the panel to provide support and share their skills and expertise. Unfair Fashion is merely the facilitator and cannot be held responsible for specific opinions, advices or viewpoints presented or given by experts. The experts in the panel interacts directly with the designers.
Unfair Fashion aims at developing and providing informative and inspiring content on fashion and sustainability through its various communication channels. Unfair Fashion aims at providing designers with the tools and knowledge necessary to make their clothing and business models even more sustainable, as well as providing consumers with the tools and knowledge necessary to make more informed choices about their consumption of clothing. Therefore, the role of Unfair Fashion is not to put some companies in a negative light, but simply to inform about choices, practices and solutions that lead to a more sustainable production and consumption of clothing.
